Poison Spyder Trail Cage Kit w/Grab Handles

Strengthen the existing roll bar with this trail cage kit with grab handles from Poison Spyder. Precision craftsmanship with CNC laser cut and notch fabrication, the DOM steel tubing is NC-bent with brake formed 3/16" steel plate components, the cage protects both driver and passenger.Structural tubing allows the bolt on cage to affix to the structural tubing of the kit. The interlocking system of CNC machined steel tube couplers are placed along the tubing run instead of on the joints of the cage, providing a more secure fit. Side fitting clamps are placed on the cage where they are unlikely to experience a side load. They are much stronger than traditional knuckle clamps in regards to side loading. Laser notched tube junctions are expertly welded just like those in a custom welded cage. These interlocking tube couplers provide a lower profile, but are the same outer diameter as the tubing for a congruent, professional appearance that keeps the appearance of bolts to a minimum.

Poison Spyder's trail cage kit extends the A-pillar section completely to the floor using one piece of CNC laser cut 3/16" plate steel that has been brake-formed with precision, allowing the A-pillar to fix right next to the jeep's dash ends. This construction takes advantage of the jeep's natural spacing, and allows the A-pillar to connect without taking any leg room or interfering with entrance and exit from the vehicle. For added stability, the A-pillar bolts to the floor, the dash, and to the forward door post with half inch thick strengthening ribs. This provides extra strength to the lower portion of the A-pillar using robust gusseting.

Poison Spyder provides DOM replacement for existing stock header bars. Unlike other cage kits that keep the stock headers, clamping the added components to the weaker, thinner tubing, Spyder provides a DOM tube structure that's unified with the cage design creating a stronger, cohesive design.

The Poison Spyder trail cage kit with grab bars includes the DOM tube crossbars at the top of the windshield which is compatible with sPOD power system and OE sun visors and tweeter speakers, as well as crossbars just above the dash. These add strength and structural integrity, helping the cage stay in place, increasing side load strength. The horizontal cage members of the interlocking tube coupler system bolt together providing the same strength of the traditionally welded cage.

Spyder's overhead stringer is also CNC laser cut and brake formed from 3/16" steel plate, providing superior overhead protection. Its flat mount allows for items such as dome lights, switches and CB radios with an open box top for easy wiring and storage for items like sunglasses and maps just beneath the soft top.

The grab handles are pre-welded to the cage and are NC bent of one and a quarter inch OD DOM tubing. The kit for four doors includes a rear center stringer.
