Fitment: Jeep Wrangler JK
JW Speakers makes a great product! They bolt in super easy to the factory grill. I now have the head lights and turn signals. Next will be tail lights.
I had been running some cheap lights, and while doing some work under the jeep, I managed to snap the tabs holding the old lights in place.
The construction on these lights are top notch. 1 simple bolt to align the factory slots, and you're good to go. I have always had issues with JW SPEAKER wiring harnesses, so zip tied as best I could and will see how it works. I tested the lights with my additional KC driving lights, and they're is no flickering. Signaling works exactly as expected.
Firstly, I am a big fan of JW Speaker products---I currently run both a set of JW Speaker headlights and taillights on my 2017 JK. Install was easy on the aforementioned products--but install on the turn signals was a complete pain and I still have issues with one of them functioning properly. Maybe you will get lucky and everything will go smoothly with this plug and play product, but in my case, I needed to purchase and install resistors on each turn signal to get them to function properly. One wouldn't even light up without a resistor, and the other one hyper flashed, and also caused my rear JW Speaker taillight to hyper flash before the resistor was installed. I am not quite sure why JW Speaker doesen't build resistors in to their turn signals like they do with their tail lights. Secondly, also be prepared to deal with a poor fit between the wiring harness on the tail light and the wiring harness on the jeep. JW Speaker DOES state in the literature on their product that you should use the zip ties included in the box (no zip ties in my box, however) to better secure the harness. It didn't make a difference in my case. After using the zip ties, I am still having a problem. All this said, I know there are a million and one variables that can cause issues between vehicles and OEM products--it's just the way it works---but I got a double whammy this time and it's quite frustrating.
