Strengthen Winch Capability By Preventing Snags
Help ensure your recovery rope on your winch doesn't get snagged with this Snatch Block from ARB. This product features feature side plates that sit snug against the pulley which eliminates the possibility of the winch cable becoming trapped between the pulley and the side plates. As part of the design, the groove on the pulley itself tapers down to the center allowing for a variety of cable sizes (1/4"-1/2") to be used and ensures the cable is seated securely in the pulley, minimizing lateral movement.

I have a bunch of pullies now and these are my favorite due to the large diameter sheave (the wheel part). These roll incredibly smooth. I have three of them now and use them for pulling over large trees in a z-rig setup. I really don't use my other pullies anymore. Get a big-ass shackle and some three protection webbing and you are set!
As a side note, I am using 3/8 Amsteel Blue synthetic rope. It's pricey, but has nearly zero stretch. I believe they are using similar cordage in winches now.
