Looking for an upgrade that'll improve your driving experience, without sacrificing stability? The 2.5-inch Coil Spring Suspension Lift Kit from Teraflex is the perfect solution for your Jeep Wrangler JKU! Kit includes the basic components required to fit larger tires, without compromising on-road handling. Get ready to crawl over anything to get where you're going! The 2.5-inch suspension lift kit will give you the clearance you need to drive over anything, and still stay on the road. Designed to provide the right suspension geometry, load tuning and roll center for your Jeep. After installing the kit, you'll be able to increase your Jeep's tire size to 35-inch tires. (You'll need aftermarket wheels that have 4.5-inch backspacing at most.) The 2.5-inch suspension lift kit will improve both on-road and off-road driving without interfering with your Jeep's factory-installed stability controls.
Does NOT include shocks. Recommended Falcon Performance Shocks or TeraFlex 9550 VSS Twin-Tube Shocks. These are the only shock absorbers engineered to work with TeraFlex lift coil springs to improve both compression and rebound for optimal vehicle stability.
NOTE:On 2012 and newer Jeeps, exhaust spacers or another exhaust modification might be required to ensure correct driveshaft clearance if your Jeep's front extended shock length exceeds 24.5 inches.
Caster correction recommended, but NOT required – NOT INCLUDED.
Requires aftermarket wheels w/ 4.75” backspacing or less – or Offset Wheel Adapters (# 1055000) for stock wheels – NOT INCLUDED.
2012-2018 JK Wrangler/Unlimited models require Exhaust Spacers (# 2610000) or other exhaust modification for proper driveshaft clearance if front extended shock length is greater than 24.5”.
REQUIRES longer shocks or Shock Extensions (Front Upper: # 1553800 & Rear Upper: # 1554800) (NOT INCLUDED in base kit) – we recommend Falcon Performance Shocks or TeraFlex 9550 VSS Twin-Tube Shocks.
This lift is a perfect lift to start with. Just order a good set of shocks to go along with it and you're set. I ordered the exhaust extension and front brake line relocate just to be safe. It took about 8 hours doing it just with jacks and jack stands. Plus it was our first install of a lift. I went to Teraflex's website to get the full installation instructions just to be safe. Well worth the money.
Rides great, better than stock. I do have the Rubicon Recon with the factory steel bumpers, and a 87lbs winch up front. With that, I got about 2in of actual lift. I see that TF offers 3in springs for overland aka heavier jku's, so I might change to those in the future for a bit more lift. But overall, perfectly happy with it for now. On the rear track bar bracket, the instructions say to install the track bar in the upper hole. It seemed to kick the rear end over to the drivers side too much on mine, so I moved it to the bottom hole after a week, and the rear axle is spaced much more evenly and the jeep feels like it tracks better through corners now. I did end up swapping my LCA and TB hardware out for the 9/16 hardware kit from synergy after a few weeks, and it made a noticeable difference in the feel of the jeep. Highly recommend just swapping the hardware out while installing the lift and saving some time.
My philosophy is to buy a high quality product and you'll never have to replace it. This lift kit fills every line of that belief. As soon as I received the kit, I checked the contents, absolutely no problem and incredible quality - every part pristine - looked like it was on a factory assembly line. Due to certain circumstances, I had to have my shop do the install of this and the Fox 9550 VSS shocks which went flawlessly (I have a great shop!). I didn't experience any wear in and it rode beautifully since day one. I can't wait for the spring so I can get this lift and my new 35's offroad and see the performance they bring.
Installed lift kit in about 10 hours. The 8nstructions that come with the kit, are terrible. Go to the TeraFlex website and print out the instructions under the kit. We installed with Bilstein 5100 shocks also. Kit was fairly simple to install. The rear brake line brackets are nice. Would be great if they included some for the front. The front brake lines were a bear to straighten to relieve the brake hose kinks. We have Fuel wheels and 31in tires, the Jeep looks great, wife loves it. Handles really well. The ride has stiffened slightly over stock, but is not bad. If TeraFlex adds front brake line brackets and the correct instructions this kit would be perfect.
