If you have the factory roll bar and you wish to add on to it to form a full roll cage and not install a new cage, the Poison Spyder Trail Cage is the product for you. The whole Poison Spyder Trail Cage kit has eight pieces. It has two lower A pillars and also two of the tubular upper a pillars that are usually welded on the windshield bars from the factory. It also comes with a dash bar, two center spreaders and also a windshield bar that can be located in different locations. The whole kit does come disassembled and it will require welding before installation.
To offer a great foundation the lower A pillars are used in the forward section of the cage while at the same time it does not intrude in the legroom. The Poison Spyder Trail Cage is usually secured at the wind shield. This usually ensures that it has the maximum strength from the top at the windshield to the floor. To esure they are of the highest quality and that they will fit the lower A pillars are CNC Laser cut and also precision brake formed. All the components that are tubular are made from 1.75 inch structural tubing they are also CNC bent and also laser notched so they fit precisely. The Trail Cage can be installed with the stock header bars, but those are little more than thin-wall tubing intended to brace the windshield, providing little in the way of cage protection. The Optional Entry Grab Handles may be added to the Trail Cage to make entry and exit easier, as well as providing a secure grab handle while wheeling. Also available is a Rear Spreader Bar to further strengthen the back half of the OEM roll bar. Taken together, all of these components turn the Jeep's factory roll bar into a safe, secure full cage suitable for hard-core wheeling.
