The Teraflex HD Falcon Rear Shock Skid Plates Offer Extra Rear Shock Protection Against Trail Obstacles
Your shocks are arguably the most important of equipping your suspension with off-road ability. Without proper protection of these vital components, your weekend of fun can turn into a nightmare. Luckily Teraflex has come up with a protective solution to keep your trail performance shocks out of harm's way. Teraflex's Falcon piggyback shocks are designed to take a beating with their nearly indestructible hard anodized 6061-T6 aluminum construction, but the TeraFlex JK Heavy-Duty Falcon Rear Shock Skid Plates offer the serious off-road enthusiast that extra piece-of-mind when leaving civilization behind.
1/4" Cold Rolled Steel with Raw Finish
The Teraflex HD Falcon Rear Shock Skid Plates for the Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU are constructed from 1/4” cold rolled steel. Unlike our standard JK Falcon Rear Shock Skid Plates, Teraflex left their heavy-duty shock skid plates raw for Wrangler owners who want to weld them on for more strength, welding is not required. As with the mounting hardware on our Falcon shocks, the rear shock skid plates’ Eco-Guard mountinghardware has survived the 1,000-hour salt spray corrosion test. These skid plates are easy to install. They are 100% bolt-on and only require basic hand tools to complete installation.
Awesome product. Installed as described. If you spend the money on the shocks, why not spend the extra couple bucks to protect them? Hell, I even color matched mine... lol...
I knew these things where beefy but I was still surprised by how beefy they were. The option to bolt or weld on is great. If you are planning a change to your suspension after initial install the bolt on option will hold up well.
