Features & Product Details
sPOD specializes in upgrades that can take your SUV and off road experience to the next level. As an industry leader in products for Jeeps and other 4x4 vehicles, drivers know they can turn to sPOD for upgrades and features that are better than the factory OEM versions. When drivers need switch panels, sPOD doesn't let them down. The sPOD 8 Circuit SE Switch Panel System is the perfect way to add a control system that's fully programmable and customizable. It includes all the necessary hardware for installation and all of the products are made in the United States of America. Easy to install, this switch panel system can also be upgraded so drivers can have 10 switches if they prefer.
Features
For this programmable control system that is fully digital, it includes 8 separate circuits that have a rating of 12.5 VDC and 30 AMPs for each circuit. The terminal block is end user friendly so drivers can add more accessories. There is also an easy plug and play feature that allows for as many as 32 additional circuits that can be installed. This feature is also expandable so drivers can daisy chain the circuits. The LVCO or low voltage cut-off is set to turn off at 11.2 VDC as the specified voltage cut-off point. There is also a 2 minute delay before it will shut down. That means that drivers can access their accessories even when the truck is not on. Once they start the vehicle back up, they can then use the accessories again. The DIP switches help to allow for an additional LVCO battery protection.
Additional features include the fail safe and self healing system (fault protection) that helps drivers so they never have to worry about rating fuses again. The switch system will take 1.5 AMP up to 30 AMP as an automatic feature. Replacing the accessory output fuses, there are now MOSFETs that are current sensing automatically and these have a microprocessor control feature to minimize maintenance and help with troubleshooting problems.
Switch Panel Features Include
With eight switches, the switch panel runs from a cabling that's 10' in length and Ethernet. Both ends have an RJ 45 plug. The switches are all set to flash or programmable for a set strobe feature. They can also be shut off automatically if the panel is then unplugged. The LED lights are lit in a dual manner and come in one set color with color options as either green, blue, amber or red. This version is in green. A power control button allows for a lower light (pilot) to be operated.
Additional features include the durable aluminum housing of the switch panel which is better than the standard factory OEM plastic versions sold by competitors. This version works for Jeep JK versions that are 2009 through Current. To allow for control of the 32 circuits, there is a 4 sPOD source selection and the switch panel can easily go up to 10 switches if daisy chained with a panel in the front and one in the back. All necessary hardware for installation is included.
